I e-mailed him a couple weeks back about the cuts and he replied a two or three times. I just sent out another e-mail about teh draft started so I assume he'll see that as well.

I have Addai ranked 4th, but 2, 3, and 4 are very, very close and you can make a case for any of them.

I felt forced to take him at 1.01 even though I'm not 100% sure he'll amount to anything. I even had a sweet offer for the 1.01, but still I felt forced into taking him.

You pretty much are forced to take him... I actually had Maroney really high too.
My list was closer to..
1. Bush
2. Maroney
3a. Addai
3b. Williams
If you want to trade Reggie, let me know. :hyper:

I was a little surprised to see V4E take White rather than Davis.
Hopefully he won't be the next Mike Williams (Powerful college program, fluxuating weight, half-assed conditioning...)

Team need. I've already got Alex Smith and K2 at TE, and my RB corps need help.

Don't worry about it. You already picked up a sweet-ass fat RB and a WR from a school that's produced such talents as Jaquez Green, Jabar Gaffney, Taylor Jacobs, and Riedell Anthony.
How could this draft be any better?!

The WR only cost him a back-up QB he was going to cut anyway, so yeah that ain't bad.

Now I've got Norwood in two leagues. Here's hoping he works out in ATL.
Drew was the other I considered, but that backfield is so muddied and the legal situation will likely blow over but might be a concern too.

Need a QB of the future. Jackson II may be a reach, but supposedly he's impressing in Vikings camp. He's got all the tools to be a star, and he's got Childress and BJ there to help him.
There was another guy I may have taken if dan/grannypoo hadn't gone QB/QB with 8 and 9.
ETA: Hoo just took Moss, the other guy I was looking at.

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want someone who may be able to contribute this year, I think Clemens is the better pick. If you're looking long term, I think Jackson's potential is a lot higher.
I was looking long term for this pick, so I had Jackson ahead of Clemens.

and he hasn't recently broken his leg. But I was impressed, watching him play before he went down. He's a good fit for the Jets, IMO, and there's an open competition there this summer.
Thanks for the analysis. I've got two project QB's on my roster; why not a 3rd?

#1 WR for an NFL team makes it a better risk than an available rookie at this point, I figure. Even if he hasn't shown anything yet. WRs don't do well in their first year after switching teams.

Why Noah Herron?
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports with RB Ahman Green and RB Najeh Davenport out until training camp with injuries, RB Tony Fisher having left as a free agent and the Packers eschewing running backs in the draft, RB Noah Herron suddenly found himself in a position of prominence. And so far he hasn't disappointed. In fact, he has been getting more than his fair share of snaps with the No. 1 offense in the Packers' latest series of voluntary practices, seemingly having replaced RB Samkon Gado for the time being as the go-to back thanks in large part to his quick assimilation of Green Bay's new zone-blocking scheme. "I think I've picked up the offense a little bit faster than some of the running backs," he said. "When you pick it up a little bit faster it allows you to play a little bit more instead of thinking. I think I just have the luxury of being able to do that." Also working in Herron's favor is that he has caught the eye of HC Mike McCarthy, who has singled out Herron for praise on a couple of occasions so far this month.
Thats why!!!
