Ok, surely someone else here is watching this thing. Once I catch up and watch my dvr'd Australia vs. Japan match I will have watched every match so far. I'm married now so that's quite an accomplishment. The little lady did watch the awful USA match with me today.

To this point I like Argentina and Germany the most. They are the most dangerous and have came to play this time. I'm pretty pumped about watching to see how France and Spain start out. Those 2 could greatly shift the balance if they come to play. Ukraine is probably my favorite country in this that nobody is talking about. I'm hoping good things for them.

I predict that Brazil will get upset tomorrow and I'm putting money on it.

The worst teams out of the gate so far are obviously USA and not so obviously England. It's easy to say that they just got the result and that's all that mattered but they better pick it up from here on out.

I've watched most of the games. My favorite was the T&T/Sweden game and T&T has me on the sentimental bandwagon. I didn't get to watch the US get their asses kicked, thankfully. I agree with you on Germany and Argentina.

I bet Brazil/Croatia to tie and France to win.

The best goal so far was the first goal by Ecuador. A double header from a side throw in. That was sweet! If only the Boys from eire were here.:sadbanana: You have to like the host team. Also Italy and the Czechs from the group of death. If the US comes back strong against Italy, they could get through, but they need at least a tie.

I'm still :sadbanana: after watching the Poland/Germany game yesterday. I wanted Poland to keep it tied. It must have really been a crushing loss for their fans. I was happy with the result of Tunisia tieing the game with the Saudis in the 93rd minute. Sweden finally scored today and will now move on assuming TNT doesn't blow out Paraguay.

I'm still :sadbanana: after the US showing against the Czechs. I really feel we have a shot against the Italians, their second goal was for shit, miserable play by the defender that even the US wouldn't make ( ) and the first was just a brilliant shot, but I also think Keller is better than the Ghana keeper and may have gotten to it.

The US needs to say hello mr bench to Bobby Convey and slide Beasley to the left midfield. Throw Clint Dempsy out there at right midfield, what the heck.

I sure hope we get a win, but I have a feeling we'll tie and then the Czech's and Italians will also tie and leave the US high and dry.

Wow, this was like the biggest screwjob match I've seen other than some South American league matches and we still pulled out of point. They should tear up this refs fifa contract and only allow him to do amateur matches.

Yep, both of those red cards were crap, but Pope fucking sucked ass and he shouldn't have even been out there after the half.

Still got a shot now. Italy and the Czechs can't play for a tie since the game will be going on at the same time as US-Ghana.

Today's game got me to a point where I wanted to nuke Italy, but now I have to root for them.

I certainly don't think Pope is as big a loss as Mastoerni (sp?). We really miss Cory Gibbs, he would have been a great member of this side.

Very dissapointed in FIFA for allowing a referee of this questionable quality into a World Cup match, simply disgraceful to ruin a game that had so much potential.

Good point, hope and pray we come out with a victory and Italy somehow beats the Czechs.

One of the problems with this World Cup, most every team will be missing at least one starter in the third games due to how many fricking cards have been shown this time.

Well it appears that another team has got screwed worse than the US by the officials. Tunisia got absolutely hosed in their game. A cheap yellow card turned red was the start of it. They played absolutely magnificent given they were a man down and would have had a goal off a set piece if not for an obvious high hand ball. The ref should have at least given a penalty kick but did nothing. He then turns around and awards Shevchinko a penalty kick for tripping over his feet. Tunisia should be advancing, not Ukraine.

I loved the guys who called this game they really gave it to the officials like they should have.

Also, I was highly impressed with the French today. Henry showed up, finally. They had two of the better goals in the world cup today against an inspired Togo team.

Out of all this I provided some pretty good thoughts. France just eliminated Brazil after beating Spain in a classic game. Ukraine made an unexpected run. And England was exposed today for how much they really suck (however that's really not totally fair since Rooney spoiled their gameplan by being an idiot).

Oh yeah, going forward I'll call for France to beat Portugal and Germany to take down Italy. Zidane is the best soccer athelete of this generation.

They needed Nick Brain.
