Who is he:
Leak is one of the more talented QBs in college football, so it's too bad he's an awful fit for Urban Meyer's offensive scheme. Leak came in under Zook and played in the SEC as a true freshman putting up very respectable numbers capped off with a great performance against FSU that should've been a victory had the Gators' defense not let him down. In his freshman year, Leak completed 16 TDs to just 11 INTs, as well as 59% of his passes. He's also improved these numbers each year he's been at UF while throwing for a nice 20:6 TD: INT ration last year and 63% completions in an entirely new scheme. Leak is currently the most talented QB on UF's roster, but because of his lack of mobility there is a small chance he could lose his job. Meyer's offense is predicated on the QB's ability to run and spread the defense; this is something Leak doesn't do. I expect a minor challenge from highly touted Tim Tebow, but Leak should keep his job all year and transition to the NFL next year as a mid-round pick.

What to Expect in ’06:
With another year under his belt in Meyer's scheme, Leak should put up pretty good numbers. This again is under the assumption he takes all snaps from center, which might not happen. If he can keep the Gators moving and get a little help from a stagnant running game, Leak could have his best year yet in Gainesville.
Projection: 240 for 380 (63%) for 2700 yards --
