What the hell is up with that team? I know they got a bunch of younger dudes but SHIT!!! Even though they have a history of making comebacks after the All-Star break they are currently tied for last in the division with the Nats.

My uncle who is like the biggest Braves fan of all time recently passed. He was buried wearing his Braves jersey last week. Some of his final words were that the Braves were very bad right now but they have always been his team and he is sticking with them. They have 3 months to pull out of it and finally get out of the playoffs to the World Series for uncle TR.

Well, they took 2 of 3 from the O's (:| ) and 2 of 3 from the Cards ( ) so maybe they are on some kind of roll.:dunno:
Right now the number to keep an eye on is the games behind the Reds, that will prolly determine the Wildcard spot.

Well I know zilch about baseball but they seemed to show up pretty good yesterday, even the bullpen after Thomson went out hurt in the 3rd. I think it's mainly because the Reds suck.

Yeah, the Braves are finally hitting a hot streak. Unfortunately its just in time for the All-Star break.:wigglypea:
But the Reds are one of the teams ahead of the Braves in the Wild Card race, so that was a very helpful series.

Fresh off a sweep of the Padres and heading into a series with the Cardinals the Braves keep their momentum.
Chipper Jones extended his extra-base hitting streak to 14 games. That tied a major league record that has been in place since FOR-EV-ERRRRR!!!! Also Thorman is proving himself to be a very valuable member of the team.
The Braves scored double-digits in every game in this series. I just hope they saved a few for the Cards.

After pulling off a great deal to get Wickman, they make this terrible trade.:weary:
ATLANTA - The Atlanta Braves made another trade to bulk up their bullpen Friday night, acquiring reliever Danys Baez and infielder Willy Aybar from the struggling Los Angeles Dodgers for infielder Wilson Betemit.

Cant count them out just yet. Smoltz won his 5th straight start, striking out 10 Pirates in a 3-0 win.
Less than 6 weeks to play and 5 1/2 games back, no room for screw-ups now.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers have gone 19-4 since acquiring WIlson Betemit from the Braves.
