I'm interested in how people think these two teams match up. They are the projected keepers of the consensus two top teams in the league. Ten team league with starting lineups of

2QB, 3RB, 5WR, 2TE, 2K, 2D yards 1/10....1/25 6TD rushing 4TD passing

Team 1
-----------
Eli Manning
Ladanian Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, Tiki Barber
Terrell Owens, Drew Bennett, Michael Clayton, Matt Jones

Team 2
-----------
Jake Delhomme
Shaun Alexander, Cadillac Williams
Marvin Harrison, Chris Chambers, Andre Johnson, Reggie Brown
Antonio Gates

They're close, very close.
With a gun to my head, I have to go with team one and that running back stable.

I agree, they are close. I'd choose team #1 if I had the choice.

I'd say you have a slightly higher chance of getting a more solid production of 10+ point games out of Team 1's RBs than out of Team 2's WRs.

I'd take Team #1 because of those solid RB's ..... How the hell did he get all 3 of those guys? lol .......... But team #2 is pretty solid .... if Cadillac has a breakout season .. and puts some high numbers, they could pull itout

Is this some kind of fucking joke? Team one dominates

Either one of those teams could beat the other one on any given day.

Here's how

Eli Manning vs Delhomme - Eli learns that you have to play games on the road this year and destri-zoys Delhomme in 6 out 16 contests in 6 more contests they are about even and in the other 4 Delhomme comes out ahead.

Ladanian Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, Tiki Barber
vs
Shaun Alexander, Cadillac Williams

The important thing here to see is that LT, SA, and LJ are all like having two runningbacks in 1. When it's all said and done, Team 1 will have the top back in LJ and the third best back in LT, and then probably the 5th best back in Tiki. Shaun and Caddy are good, but let's be real about this. This is Dallas Clark High versus Odessa-Perriman, at some point your going to have to stop worrying about the score and start worrying about these kid's safety.

Terrell Owens, Drew Bennett, Michael Clayton, Matt Jones
vs
Marvin Harrison, Chris Chambers, Andre Johnson, Reggie Brown
Antonio Gates
Team 2 has the advantage here, but not by much. In our "what have you done for me lately" society, people think TO is not going to be good, but let's face facts. TO knows he better performed or he may never play in the NFL again. He's baaaaaaaack!!!!! (http://www.terrellowens.com/). And don't be fooled. Chris Chambers is the best wide reciever on Team 2. With the emergence of Reggie Wayne, the Colts are now in WRBC. So tallying everything up... TO is way underrated. Harrison a little overrated, and Team 2 with the better 2-5 guys plus Gates with a new quarterback gets the edge in receiving

So, in summary, Team 1 with better qb, unbelievably better runningbacks and a worse receiving core by not a large margin, and Team 2 then dominates the fantasy universe.

Now question me again and see what happens. :wigglypea:

I tend to agree with nobody, but for different reasons. I was just looking for other viewpoints. These rosters are not complete. There is still a draft to come where other players can be added to each of the rosters to fill out the starting lineups.

I think Owens is incredibly overrated this year. Parcells is not the type of coach to throw the ball all over the place if he doesn't have to, and there are other weapons in Glenn and Witten that will get the ball. Besides that, Bledsoe trusts Glenn. They have really good chemistry, and Glenn doesn't drop as many balls as Owens. As many big plays as Owens makes, he drops a lot of balls. I also like Harrison this year. Wayne is not in the same tier as Harrison. He draws a lot of single coverage BECAUSE OF Harrison. Harrison played last year with the injuries that have been mentioned as a concern. Having them fixed in the off-season is a good thing. Having to throw the ball more with the loss of Edge should bolster receiving numbers across the board in Indy. Harrison could easily be the #1 wideout this year.

I actually think Chambers/Johnson vs Bennett/Clayton is closer than most people think. I think Chambers might be overrated until Culpepper proves himself completely healthy, and I think Bennett and Clayton are primed for rebound years.

Gates cannot be matched.

Overall, I think the QBs wash. I think Team 1 dominates overwhelmingly at RB. I think Team 2 dominates at TE. I think Team 2 has a slight edge at WR. Overall, there is no making up the difference at RB, regardless of whoever plays at RB3 for Team 2. Team 1 wins this one, and it's only somewhat close.

I'm the owner of Team 2. I did win the title last year. Mike Anderson was my RB3. I will have to replace him in the off-season.
