I've been watching it. :weary:
For the non-dartophiles out there, it has some unintentional hilarity with the one announcer guy. He gets a little too excited.
"140!!! INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE BY JOHNSON! YEEEEEEARGH!"

Can't wait for the 2nd part of round 1. The Americans have been getting thier asses kicked. I love to see a top world player throw back to back sub 60 rounds. Makes me feel better about my darts.
Bonky is correct about the announcer. He goes from an exuberent 140! to a subdued 57. Is it dart season yet??

I'd like to hit Dart Force One before the season and purchase some new darts. I think it'd be a good team-building exercise.
Are you referring to the British announcer that sounds like he gargles with Clorox?
I'm in utter awe of his wicked math skills.

Johnny K keeps the US hopes alive. Loved seeing the number 11 player in the world leave a 3 out! And then he throws an anger dart in another leg!!:madani: I feel good about my darts again.

When do they get to the World Series of Darts: Cricket? :headscratch:

The Power is rolling!! Nice to see someone get pissed because his opponent started a conversation with him. They'd never make it against "rocket"

Someone explain to me how 501 is a better guage of dart skill then crickett?
They shoot for the trip20 everytime, and then as they get lower, go for some others. It seems to me that crickett tests a more overall skill, as well as strategy of scoring versus closing.

With 501 you have to use more of the board, even though most throws are at cricket number until the out. The fact that you HAVE to double out is what makes it challenging. It's doesn't mean that it's less difficult than cricket, it's just that the 01 games are a more pure version of the game. In cricket you don't need to score. some of the best games I've been in have little or no scoring in them.

Didn't realize that you had to double out... that does make it tougher. It just seems to me that there is NO strategy in '01. You just throw at trip20 or trip 19 until you get below 60. At least in cricket, if you fall behind (or close out bulls quickly) you can rack up some points while the other guy is closing- it at least opens things up... but I've never really played too competitively in either one. :dunno:
