Let's hope I do better w/ my picks this weekend.
10. BC @ NCSt
BC seems to like overtime and even though NC State has been awful this year, they might rally around Amato for once and pull of the upset. I doubt it though since they're breaking in a new QB.
BC: 31
NCSt: 28 2OT
Colorado @ UGA
Even though Colorado is terrible, this is a pretty cool matchup between two teams with some cool history and traditions. I would've liked to see Ralphie stomp UGA, but I'll have to settle for Stafford and crew smashing the hell out of Hawkin's Buffs. Expect a blow-out.
Colorado: 7
UGA: 41
Oklahoma St @ Hou
Points, points, and more points should be on the agenda in Texas this weekend. Kolb is a seasoned vet at QB now and I think he'll lead the Cougars in a mild upset over a big12 opponent.
Oklahoma St: 31
Houston: 44
UNC @ Clemson
UNC always plays Clemson pretty close, but I think the Tigers pull of this one at home. UNC gave up 40+ points to D2 powerhouse Furman last weekend and their defense won't be able to stop Clemson's 3 headed rushing attack and the efficient Will Proctor. This might not be the 6th best game this weekend, but I'll be there as always so I'm putting it here.
UNC: 20
Clemson: 47
Louisville @ KState
Louisville minus Bush was a scary prospect, but a RB can be replaced. Louisville minus Bush and Brohm and the Cardinals have to be a little worried. They looked great against Miami last week without Brohm for a good portion of the game, but this might be scary if KState can go up early.
Louisville: 31
KState: 27
Iowa St. @ Texas
Iowa St. didn't quite pull through for me last week as my upset pick over Iowa, but they did play well in that game. I expect another solid effort from Bret Meyer and the Cyclones before the Longhorns pull away in the second half.
Iowa St. 20
Texas: 49
*note: ISU will be within 1 score at halftime.
Wisconsin @ Michigan
Michigan needs to not have a letdown game after their stomping of ND in South Bend last week. They have the talent, but I'm not sure Carr is the greatest coach nor motivator in the world. Henne to Manningham should hook up a couple of times though and the Big House should see Michigan go to 4-0.
Wisconsin: 17
Michigan: 28
ND @ Michigan St.
This is a bit of a revenge game for ND after having MSU plant their flag last year. I actually think Quinn and crew will come out relaxed after the media pressure has lessened since their loss. Smoker will keep this game interesting, but I think ND has a nice rebound game and takes one from the Spartans.
ND: 34
Michigan St: 28
AZ St @ Cal
Neither of these teams impress me too much as far as being really top tier teams, but this game should be a Pac10 shootout. I think AZSt's offense is good enough to throw up major points this weekend and Cal will have to play better than it has to take this one at home.
AZ St: 49
Cal: 35
PSU @ Ohio ST
Ohio St might be ranked #1, but I'm still not positive they're the best team in the nation. Their defense has gelled the past couple of weeks after getting thrashed by Garrett Wolfe and Northern Illiinois. I expect a hard fought game just like last year's, but I don't think JoePa has enough talent to pull off the upset. Jim Tressell is also quickly becoming the best game day coach in college football (but currently behind Carrol and Tuberville in my mind).
PSU: 18
Ohio St: 28
