All the pieces are in place! This year is our year!!@#

Seriously, for all the vitriol we Lion fans spew at the Fords, what haven't they done to show us they're interested in fielding a winner in 2006?

Lions seem to be putting together a pretty decent Coaching staff. If they get Mike Martz as OC, I will be :hyper:

I thought it was a done deal? They've agreed in principle, they just need to work out the details.

That was according to 1270 wasn't it? I didn't hear anything like that from 1130 about that yet.

It'll be sweet to have him around for one season until someone hires him as a HC again. Also, it'll be fun to watch Martz try and fail to resurrect the career of Joey Checkdown.

Joey's a decent QB, considering he's had minimal coaching over the entire length of his NFL career.

Agreed. Also, I heard conversations that Atlanta is looking for a 2nd round pick for Matt Schaub. If you were the Lions would you pull the trigger?

If I were the Lions, I'd be so sweet.

Also, maybe?

Among the Lion's orgy of failings is one Scott Mitchell, who had barely started any games, and for whom the Lions payed out their ass.

Schaub has looked pretty good though.

Schaub signed a three-year contract with the Falcons in July 2004. The deal is worth $1.45 million

Trading for him you'd be on the hook for 1 year and 1.45 Million and if he doesn't work out, kick him to the curb, only a 2nd rounder lost.

Not so fast on those Mike Martz-to-Detroit headlines.

This afternoon, Martz told Jim Thomas of the Post-Dispatch that he will not take the job as the Lions' offensive coordinator under new head coach Rod Marinelli.

The Post-Dispatch and other media outlets reported Wednesday that Martz had accepted the Lions' offer to join the coaching staff, but that contract terms had not been completed.

Martz told Thomas today, "We couldn't come to an agreement on terms. I really do feel bad . . . but we just couldn't get on the same page."

Speaking of Steelers.. Why does Porter suck so much cock? All day I've been subjected to this non-issue he's making out of Steven's statement.

He is a professional LB right? Does he seriously need something like this for motivation? He's trying to wring meat off a chicken bone found in the garbage, for focks sake.

 over-milked anger words = Porter
 umm, whatever = Stevens
 wtf, you cocksucker Porter = Me

_______ = Bonky

:dunno:

I've said before I wish Porter would just shut the fuck up sometimes. This little outburst doesn't piss me off as much as his little episode before the Colts' game.

Porter: 'The Colts R B trying to be smart on us!@ Dey suck for using gameplans!" :dopey:

I might buy an extra bag of chips and jar of salsa or something due to this extra motivation in a game I was already going to watch, don't be mistaken Iwasgoingtowatchanyway, but now I'm watching extra hard!@#
