I think the group made a fine decision to let Dan have Reggie Bush back...Bravo
However I do think that a penalty for not following the guidelines that were set is necessary. Dan has done everything on the up and up and I applaud him for doing so but bottom line is that he made a mistake that causes the league to look pass a stipulation of the game that was set by the league members.
One year, I did not follow the guidelines set and was penalized with a draft pick...obviously, I do not think that Dan should be penalized to the extent that I was. A much later round pick or taking away a FA point that he has to use COULD BE a "reasonable" penalty.
This has nothing to do with the person (Dan) but it does have to do with a group of people that set guidelines and the consequencies to those that do not meet these guidelines.
If the majority believes that no penalty should be given then I agree but I think the matter should be addressed.
