"7. The August Draft is modified by rotation and randomization.

8. The playoff finishers are not subject to this modification and retain their established slot from the previous season’s standings.

9. The middle 4 teams (positions 5-8 rank order) are swapped with the lower 4 teams (positions 9-12 rank order)."


The way we do the August draft is that teams ranked 1-4 go to the bottom of the draft order (draft positions 9-12)
Teams ranked 5-8 roll dice for draft positions 1-4
Teams ranked 1-4 roll dice for draft positions 5-8.

Or at least this is all my interpretation. If I'm wrong hopefully Dan or Whoisjgalt will chime in and confuse you even more. :unsure:

Also, why do 1-4 and 5-8 swap draft positions? Is this to promote that teams out of playoff contention play to the final game?
