FYI, JaMarcus Russell is now on the block, along with Carson Palmer, Vince Young, and Drew Brees. Non-sucky RBs needed. Also, keep in mind that there is only a 25% chance that I'll remember to respond to your offer. If you start off lowballing, that number will probably drop to 0%.

I'm not going to pick until a little bit later today when I get home from work. I'm considering trade offers and I want access to RTS to do some thinking.
I'm thinking about doing major rebuilding, so guys like Edgerrin James, Thomas Jones, Darrell Jackson, Terry Glenn and Joe Horn might be available for younger talent and/or draft picks.
Antonio Gates and Steve Smith could be gotten for the right price.

Irons is an LSU back. I like him, and was hoping he'd slip down to me in round 2 because he's in Cincy, but I guess that was unrealistic.
I imagine everyone had me taking Quinn if they mocked it out this far. Not that I need another QB, but it covers me with Cleveland's situation (for Frye), and I like Quinn better than Russell anyway.

1. Nice job covering the Cleveland QB situation. Seriously, you can never have even Browns quarterbacks. Maybe Brian Sipe will slip to you in the second round.
2. Regarding Russell vs. Quinn, if I remember correctly, you drafted Big Fat Byron Leftwich over Carson Palmer a few years ago. So there's that.

He went to SoCar and then Auburn... no LSU. He's a good player and I likely would've taken him at 1.12.
Also Torrid's pick gives me a good idea on who I will take... I'm fielding a few offers though so give me an hour or so (might be sooner though).

There were a couple of players at 1.12 I liked, but none blew my socks off. I think my team has a shot at repeating, so I went with instant help. If KJones is healthy, I have a 4 back rotation. If not, I can plug Edge in behind Westbrook and Portis/Betts. Also, Edge is still *only* 29. I figure he's got 2-3 more decent years left.
I like my RB stable: Westbrook, Portis, Edge, KJones, Betts, Morency.

I certainly thought about him, because I need to rebuild my Wrs as well, but I needed a TE too.
Plus I think his success, if any will come outside of IND. Harrison and Wayne are locked in there for years. I think Gonzo will fall away like the St Louis group of Holt, Bruce, Curtis and McDonald. The two studs stayed and the two newbies left.

I've done very little research on the guy because I had no intention of taking him. I like Hill, don't care about Smith, but one thing can't be argued... Ginn will get a million chances to succeed or fail.
I understand he's a big as Kenny Irons, but faster. :hyper:

I tried trading up like 5x to get Ginn... He was my pick at 1.12 actually if I wasn't able to trade out. So, O, if you're not sold on him then I'll trade you for him. I won't overpay but I am interested if you want to throw me an offer.
For the record, I think he's getting bashed on only because Brady Quinn was still on the board. If Quinn had gone before the Dolphins pick, I think Ginn wouldn't get bashed at all and likely would be a consensus top 12 fantasy player in the rookie drafts.

Why just Howard? Why not Holmes?
He could fail as a receiver or he could be the next Santana Moss or Steve Smith. But at this stage of the draft there is very little hand wringing on my part.

I basically figure the draft after round 1 is such a crapshoot that if I get a player after that who looks like they might actually see the field in 2007, I'm happy. 2/3 of the guys drafted last year after Rd 1 are probably still sitting on waivers right now, right?
