Ok, so I'm officially going into rebuilding mode.

Here are the guys I'd be most interested in parting with and here's a rough idea of what I'd be looking to get in return but this is not set in stone and I will certainly listen to other ideas:

Thomas Jones TRADED
Darrell Jackson TRADED
Terry Glenn TRADED
Joe Horn TRADED
Antonio Gates TRADED

Brett Favre - 4th round pick
Steve Smith - TRADED

I'm not interested in trading:
Michael Turner

Well, there's not much left on my team now.

Steve Smith is definitely available but I'd need a really, really good young RB and future pick....

I've turned:

Steve Smith, Antonio Gates, Edgerrin James, Thomas Jones, Darrell Jackson, Terry Glenn, Dominic Rhodes and Joe Horn

Into:

Drew Brees, Mark Clayton, Vernon Davis, Vincent Jackson, Robert Meachem, Antonio Pittman, Garrett Wolfe, Adrian Peterson (CHI), Tony Hunt, grandpahoo's 2008 2nd round pick, and AUJoshkid's 2008 1st round pick.

Personally, I think I've done pretty well for myself.

Plus, I have all but guaranteed the 1st overall pick next year, which I'm hoping will be Darren McFadden. :hyper:

I'll be back in the playoffs in no time.

I'm not sure you got enough in the Steve Smith trade - the extra first will be a late one... the rest of the trades seem okay. I'm not sure this is the best draft year to try and rebuild with 7 or 8 players from the draft (not sure how many you ended up with).

It's hard to comment until we see how the players pan out.

Well, my team was incredibly mediocre last year and the pre-dismantled team had absolutely no chance of winning at all. So, I figured it was time to dismantle. In dynasty leagues, mediocrity is no way to go. You either need to be really good or really bad.

I actually feel like the rebuilding is for next year's draft, which looks to me like it could be a good one and I have two 1st rounders and two 2nds.

I do agree that it might not have been such a smart move to load up on rookies in this year's draft, but I think there's a good chance that one of the RBs I added (Kenny Irons, Antonio Pittman, Garrett Wolfe, Dwayne Wright, and Tony Hunt) will emerge at some point as a talented RB and I feel like the Terry Glenn type of guys that I gave up to get them wouldn't be able to bring me proven young talent or future picks.

As for the Smith trade, I guess I'm a little more high on Clayton than most but I feel like I got a steal in that trade considering the quality of next year's RB and WR class. I guess we shall see. :dunno:
