So Boise State has a Wednesday game on Oct. 1.
Is that considered a game for Oct. 4 or Sept. 27?

Ball State has two games in one week...can we move one of these games to another week or do we have to choose which game we want to score??
Wed, Nov 19 at Central Michigan
Tue, Nov 25 Western Michigan
Pretty sure you have to choose one of the games for that week.

I would say that one of two things could occur. Both games score on the same week or we move one to the previous week. I'd like to see the games be split up myself on separate week to make the league more competitive. In the only alternative you would have to throw out one of these games out. Seeing that they are both on the tail ends of the two weeks the decision of which game to throw out will be quite challenging to make and justify.

The games that seem to be more of a problem are
Ball St vs. N. Illinois Wed Nov 5 Playoff week 1
Ball St at Miami, Oh Tues Nov 11
Ball St at C Mich Wed Nov. 19 Championship week
Ball St vs W Mich Tues Nov 25 (non-league game)

My vote is for an exception to be made to the rule for Ball State, which seems to have a wacky schedule.
Just score their games in their natural order:
Week 1: Thursday, August 28 vs. Northeastern 7:00 p.m.
Week 2: Friday, September 5 vs. Navy 7:00 p.m.
Week 3: Saturday, September 13 @ Akron* TBA
Week 4: Saturday, September 20 @ Indiana University TBA
Week 5 Saturday, September 27 vs. Kent State* - HOMECOMING TBA
Week 6: Saturday, October 4 @ Toledo* 7:00 p.m.
Week 7: Saturday, October 11 @ Western Kentucky* TBA
Week 8: BYE
Week 9: Saturday, October 25 vs. Eastern Michigan* - Family Weekend TBA
Week 10: Wednesday, November 5 vs. Northern Illinois* 8:00 p.m.
Week 11: Tuesday, November 11 @ Miami University* 7:00 p.m.
Week 12: Wednesday, November 19 @ Central Michigan* 7:00 p.m.
Week 13: Tuesday, November 25 vs. Western Michigan* TBA

I was thinking it would be fair to be able to split those games...ala Kadaver's post.
can we make this official now, before the season starts??

I, too, would like to split the games. Lest I lose my starting QB for half the season.

This looks acceptable to me. It makes the most sense.
So, no chance on making these kinds of rulings before the drafts start?

In order to have done that, this would have had to been pointed out before the draft started. :dumbjim:

How would we do that? The teams are added by owners and then locked in as we get the draft order and prepare for the draft. Technically, we are past the stage in which we make changes to the rules at that point. This is one of those things that has never happened before and I don't see a way to prepare for it other than to give me the ability to decide. We aren't changing a rule but allowing for a one-time variance.
I have put this up for vote in email so that we get it resolved soon.

There is no need to vote IMHO, there is only one reasonable answer and that is what is proposed above. :sadbanana:

ok, but I passed on players thinking that they did not have games in a certain week, based on the rules of Wed - Tues. Anyways, whatever everyone think is best is fine with me.

You may have been the only person who noticed such a thing. If so, kudos to you for noticing, but boo on you for not getting a clarification from the commissioner (either public or private), at least regarding the weeks where they have two games.
Heck, it seems to me that, going STRICTLY by the rules with NO EXCEPTIONS, you'd have to give those Ball State players credit for BOTH games in ONE week, which would actually be QUITE ADVANTAGEOUS to the Ball State owners. While they would have more bye weeks than other players, those owners would still get to replace them with other players during those weeks, so in effect a Ball State player's owner would just get more games than anyone else.
There only seems to be one completely fair resolution to this.
And, for that matter, it seems to me we're setting a good precedent, because with college football's mid-major conferences starting to play more and more games throughout the week, this is something that we may start to run into more and more often.

I appreciate so many of you taking the time to rationally look over this ruling. The only reason that I proposed it for a vote was that I felt I could be viewed as biased since I have two Ball St players. Based on the number that have concurred or expressed strongly that they are in favor, there are more than the majority of votes needed to move forward and make the modification. In other words, we will be using the Ball St scheduling that Kadaver proposed.

Fair enough, E. Given you have 2 it now makes sense why you put it to a vote.
