Alex Trebek: You are right! It's Trent Richardson!

Bayou, what do you think of Keiland this year? In my admittedly very little experience watching LSU games last year, I actually thought he was the most impressive.

Not to sound like a prick, but the fact that certain rounds drag on and then a guy is announced out and someone is rewarded for dragging their asses in the draft really is pissing me off! Sorry for the vent! But this is BS!

Unless you get everyone together and burn threw the entire thing, I don't know of a way to combat that sort of thing. I suppose you could do team RBs, but I've never really enjoyed that sort of set up.

You don't sound like a prick, this happens every year. It's like people get rewarded because they are up when a big announcement comes, whether it be suspension, injury, or the naming of a starter, although it is not always the ones who took a while to pick, it could be anyone. Richard Samuels got named the starter at Georgia, and someone drafted him shortly thereafter, for example.

But this is the best format for this league, you take the good with the bad. THese situations are the bad. I don't think I have ever been up when a big announcement has come down. And I always check various sites when it is my pick to see if someone got hurt, or a starter was named somewhere.

I will propose a trade: Quentin Castillo for James Starks.

Bayou, what do you think of Keiland this year? In my admittedly very little experience watching LSU games last year, I actually thought he was the most impressive.

Keiland would be a stud rb on any other team in the country...probably the best built running back on the team (speed, agility, and power). some think his only drawback is he slows up before he hits the hole.

that said...he plays with Charles Scott who is a beast and definitely doesnt slow up before he hits the hole...if he even needs one in the first place.

I would think he sees more carries than in the past...maybe 60% to Scott, 35% to Keiland, and 5% to the others....that being with both running at 100%.

kid has been my favorite tiger since we recruited him.

mstella44
08-26-2009, 03:27 AM
That might be a good trade laxref!

Not just frustrated at Starks for my fantasy team, I'm an alum from there. Unless Highsmith's son is a reincarnation, they aint gonna win this year! Ugh!

Hog Chow

A bit of a homer pick...in my 15+ years of FF I have never taken a defense early and as a result have never had the Buckeye defense. Thought I'd shake it up a bit.

mstella44
08-28-2009, 11:46 AM
Am I up to pick?

Hog Chow
08-28-2009, 11:57 AM
I would think so. The rules are silent on something like this but typically a draft does not stop for a botched pick and the owner can simply make up the pick when he returns. The fact that E$ included hte words "Hog Chow OTC" in the subject line of the draft thread let me know that how he sees it too.

mstella44
08-28-2009, 12:01 PM
OK cool. I'm gonna pick then.

mstella44

I went with Taylor because Zac Robinson's week off, Va. Tech plays Duke. Pretty decent matchup!

Dagger2
08-28-2009, 12:08 PM
Just as a side note, I finally got my friends to do a fantasy NCAA league (utilizing basically the same rules as this one). Live draft, which was a disaster. But anyway, some people in the league did a lot of research, some did not (I provided each owner witha cheat sheet from a college website with ineligible teams crossed off.) Anyway, late in the draft someoneselected Taylor Tyrod. I was like, who is Taylor Tyrod? Then I realized he meant Tyrod Taylor. Trust me, this was funny when I was hammered. Or not. :dunno:

Dagger2
08-28-2009, 12:09 PM
And also, a huge problem, like this league was owners picking players already drafted. Jeff Brinson and David Reed were taken about 7 times. and the great thing was, one of my friends was so drunk, he took Jeff Brinson one round, and then tried to draft him again 2 rounds later.

mstella44
08-28-2009, 12:10 PM
