He wants out of Minny and the Vikings are trying to grant his request.

If the Raiders trade for Culpepper I will go fucking ballistic. He may well be my least-favorite player in the league.

I have little doubt that this will happen. :hyper:

I surfed by here just to see if you had anything to say about this. It would be an awsome signing for Oakland. Put them right back in the mix in the AFC West faster than any other off-season move. :hyper:

Raiders: No interest in Culpepper
The News
It looks like Daunte Culpepper may not be reuniting with Randy Moss. The Raiders are not interested in Daunte Culpepper and never even made a trade offer to the Vikings for him, according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.
Our View
Schefter also reported that the Saints are not interested in Culpepper. This directly conflicts with a report from ESPN's John Clayton, who said the Raiders have emerged at the front runner. Everyone seems to think a trade will be pulled off very soon, so check back with us all weekend for the latest on this developing situation.

Since Schefter was the first I heard bring up Charlie Weiss as the potential Notre Dame coach, I think I'll continue hedge my bets with his info. As a Broncos fan, the news is a little disappointing <lool>.

Give it up! I won the Daunte argument, he sucks. :screams:

Only if you ask him to do unrealistic things, like hold on to the ball and get out of the way of his own feet.
You're all racists.
Two years ago the guy threw for 4700 yards. He threw 39 td passes against 11 picks. His best receiver was gimpy and his line was among the worst in the NFL giving up 47 sacks. His rating was over 110 for the year. If Manning didn't have the best year in league history Culpepper is hands down MVP.
Racsists.
He's the most important FA this offseason. No doubt.

Yeah, it was just coincidence that his stock plummeted after Randy Moss left, especially since Mr Craptastic Brad Johnson led the team to 6 straight victories upon getting the starting gig.:hyper:

His line was nowhere near one of the worst in the league. A large number of those sacks were simply because Daunte had the ball so much (between 548 pass attempts, 88 carries, and 46 sacks he easily led the league in "touches"). A large number were the fault of Daunte himself, not getting rid of the ball and not being as good of an escape artist as he thinks he is. All year long in '04 Daunte took the snap, dropped back 7 steps, and waited, and waited, and waited. Moss isn't all he lost in '05, he lost Birk and Linehan who together were more important to his sucess than Moss alone. Two guys who, at their jobs, are better than 90% of those in the league.
The guy has been injured much of his career. The guy is worse at handling pressure than most starting QBs. The guy is not a leader. The guy is not particularly accurate. The guy cannot hold onto the football. He is a big guy with a big arm and good speed. That's it. He sucks.

I have no idea how to gauge Culpepper. On one hand, he did well for those 5 games when Moss was injured, so I tend to say it wasn't just Moss that made him good. On the other hand, as soon as BJ took over in Minny last year, they went on a tear and almost made the playoffs, was there some other variable that I'm missing, other than the QB change?
I was confused because you had admitted you lost the argument...
You were confused...
Typical...
I admitted to losing...
Culpepper rocks. You are racist. Typical Montana redneck.
I admitted to losing...
Liar!
