Another top-notch move by the Lions. Filled a need there.

I think the Lions need to sign another fat, idiot GM. Who's available?

I can't but help thinking of this guy (http://tommie.nu/public/peter_griffin.jpg) when I think of Millen. When he makes this kind of news, it just adds to the overall effect.

I just figured that the other two superlatives were the real important ones? :dunno:

Sometimes a smiley encompasses so perfectly all the feelings that one has when seeing his favorite football team dick the dog while other teams are yanking great players out of the best FA pool in the history of football.

Of course, that smiley is:

... great players out of the best FA pool in the history of football.

From Peter King:
Teams cut and/or restructured approximately 35 contracts on the last day before free agency to create more room to go after players in an environment already ripe with money and not ripe with great players. What it means is that teams threw silly money at pretty good players, but not great ones, like the six-year, $36 million deal given to guard-center LeCharles Bentley by the Browns. In a normal year, he'd have gotten $4 million a year -- maybe.

:dunno: I guess MM agrees with Peter King

Millen is focusing all his energy on evaluating available coaches... just in case.

Bradford might not be a bad WR to have in deeper leagues. Every year it seems the guy who's supposed to lead the Lions in receptions finishes about third. Some no name usually leads the way.

Last year I think it was Shaun freaking Bryson.
