How long do you think the game of darts has been around? I would have been way off. Post your guess and I will tell you.
The April edition of WIRED magazine has a time line for games. Here are a few examples:

it's a very simple, physical activity which would suggest that it's been around a Loooooong time.
I guess it all depends on how they define "darts"? Does lawn darts count?
there's no question that the dart is a precursor the the bow and arrow... and the bow and arrows been arounf a pretty long time too.

According to WIRED magazine the game of darts originated in 1900. I would have put it way back in time myself.

This site claims darts go back to Medieval England at least.
Darts began in Medieval England. Historians surmise, because they don't know for certain, that those teaching archery shortening some arrows and having their students throw them at the bottom of an empty wine barrel.

Like TD, I would guess that darts in some form go back a lot further than that. You know that shortly after the spear was invented a bunch of guys got together and came up with a way to fuck around with it.
