Who is he:
One of the best DE's in the nation who gets after the QB on every play. A bit undersized possibly to make the transistion to the next level, but as far as college DE's are concerned, there's not many that are better. He's a a speed rusher who's created havoc in the backfield of opposing big XII teams, and should spend another season chasing down QBs. He's also solid in run defense as well and has the discipline to maintain his lanes while still penetrating. He's already Mizzou's career record holder in sacks and looks to add to his record this year.

What to Expect in ’06:
Smith just gets better every year and is now being utilized on all down and is not just a pass rush specialist anymore. Expect his #s to be very good, but like any DL player, not completely accurate as to how disruptive the player is. He's going to be a force in the big XII this year and make the Mizzou defense one of the better units in the conference.
