2005 NIU 20 216 10.8 59 1 0 0 0

Who is he:
Returns to Northern Illinois as the nation's leading returning rusher (was 2nd to Deangelo Williams last year). He's not a huge RB, but he's got great vision and speed to break long runs once he finds a seem. He's a decent pro prospect, with running ability like Dunn or Westbrook, but he doesn't catch nearly as many passes as those two. He is, however, an elite college level RB that carves up MAC defenses every weekend.

Notes:
- Only Mid-American Conference performer to receive Heisman Memorial Trophy votes (2005).
- Selected First-Team Playboy All-America
- Second-Team All-America and No. 12 in Heisman Trophy projections by NationalChamps.com.
- Received two third-place Heisman Trophy votes
- Tabbed Honorable Mention CollegeFootballNews.com All-America and ESPN's All-Mayday Team.
- National Player of the Week vs. Western Michigan (11-23-05)
- In 2005, finished No. 2 in season NCAA Division 1-A rushing (175.6 ypg.), No. 2 in season all-purpose yardage (200.2 ypg.), No. 4 in season scoring (11.3 ppg.), No. 7 in season rushing TDs (16), No. 11 in season TDs (17), and No. 11 in season yards-per-carry average (6.5). Rated No. 2 in single-game rushing (277 vs. Western Michigan), No. 2 in single-game TDs (5 vs. Western Michigan), No. 2 in single-game scoring (30 points vs. Western Michigan), No. 3 in single-game rushing (270 vs. Akron-2), and No. 4 in single-game rushing attempts (42 vs. Akron-2).

What to Expect in ’06:
He's a stud. He doesn't get the national recognition he might deserve because he plays in the MAC, but his production will be there. Look for more big stats this year as he attempts to be the Nation's leading rusher.
Projection: 270 carries for 1700 Yards 18 TDs, 15 Receptions for 110 Yards
