Did we decide to do away with the stupid three-way-dance rule? I hope we did, but of course there's no record of what we decided at FFToogay any more. I know we discussed something.
If not, then let's come up with a plan to avoid that problem. Ideas (could be a combo of more than one):
1) Playoff teams submit a player as a tiebreaker, the tiebreaker player can't be one of his starting nine.
2) Playoff teams submit a player as a tiebreaker, the tiebreaker player can be one of his starting nine.
3) Go decimal to make this problem far less likely.
4) The higher seeded team advances in the case of a tie.
5) any others?

I'm pretty sure we did...but like you said, there's no paper trail at FFT.
I hate that fucking 3 way dance rule.
I like #1
I used to play in a league where your backup kicker was designated your overtime player.

Definitely not #4.
I prefer #3. there are also ties in the regular season and this would eliminate them as well.

I like a combination of #3 and #1.
You can go to decimal scoring and in the even of a tie with that as well you can kick back to the designated player.

I'd love to go decimal. So a vote for #3 that is.
I'd say #3 and #4. I can't see the problem with a 0.005 point home field advantage for having the better regular season. The chances of the 2nd tier being needed if we go decimal is so tiny anyway.
Even with #1 or #2 there could be a tie between the tiebreakers. #4 by itself or the preferred (in my case) #3 then #4 option is the only way to assure no ties would result.

#3.
Also, does this mean go to decimal only in case of a tie?

I was actually suggesting going decimal regardless. There's no problem with recounting that way - having to rescore if a tie happens without decimal.

In the rare case of a tie, go with a simpletie breaker. My league has always used total kicker points as the 1st, longest FG 2nd. :dunno:

So far five out of six are pro-decimal. That's almost enough to make it so, which is good. Once we get there, we just need to decide on a back-up plan (2nd tiebreaker) or decide not to have one.

Okay, we're going decimal. I'll switch it over to decimal soon.
