Now her mother, she's going to cause my wife to put a shotgun in her own mouth. Our simple, affordable wedding has somehow turned into a $11k logistical nightmare. Thank goodness I get wine for free!

Yep. I know what you are talking about. The mothers go nuts during the wedding and make everything unnecessarily stressful. My wifes mom took it to the extreme on most everything. If you need any tips or have any questions I'm here for you (even with the whole Kitna debacle).

thanks. At this point the Mrs-to-be and I are debating whether to cancel and do our own thing. I have a feeling we'll keep on keeping on with current plans, but I may take you up on that offer. Her mom is a piece of work, Sunday my fiancee said "I'm done with my family, I don't want to deal with them at all ever again."
